Glossary of Collecting Terms

A quick reference guide for hobby terms you’ll see on Pulltrader and across the collectibles world.

Common Marketplace Terms

  • BIN (Buy It Now): A fixed-price sale option.

  • GMV (Gross Merchandise Value): The total value of items sold.

  • Vault: Pulltrader’s secure storage system where items can be instantly transferred between owners.

Card Condition Terms

  • Raw: A card that has not been graded.

  • Slab: A card encased and graded by a grading company.

  • Gem Mint: Top condition, often graded as PSA 10, BGS 9.5+, SGC 10, or equivalent.

  • OC (Off-Center): A card with uneven borders due to centering issues.

Grading Companies

  • PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator)

  • BGS (Beckett Grading Services)

  • SGC (Sportscard Guaranty Corporation)

Platform-Specific Terms

  • Fulfilled by Pulltrader (FBP): Items consigned, vaulted, and shipped by Pulltrader.
